I work on a day rate schedule for band photography. I strive to stay very affordable even for unsigned bands and small labels who have small budgets. For bands and small labels looking for a reasonable promo package, check out my quarter day rate. Each job is quoted, agreed and paid in full before production starts.

Full Day Rate - $1,000 + travel
8 hour shoot at multiple locations or in an outsourced studio. I'll deliver the entire edit of images from the shoot. For full day work, expect a few added expenses such as one assistant, make up, and styling. (travel = anything outside the 5 county Chicago area - Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry & Kane counties) 

Half Day Rate - $500 + travel
4 hour shoot at multiple locations or in an outsourced studio.  Minimum edit of 100 images delivered. An assistant may be required depending on your requests. (travel = anything outside the 5 county Chicago area - Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry & Kane counties)

Quarter Day Rate (Most Popular Package) - $250 + travel
This is just about all you might need for your promo package folks.  3 hours at multiple locations with multiple "looks."  I know your needs for your web sites, press kits, flyers, posters, and CD artwork. Styling and/or make-up, props, location rental, etc. as requested by the band or label will add an additional cost. You'll see the entire shoot online and be able to choose 50 images to be delivered.  (travel = anything outside the 5 county Chicago area - Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry & Kane counties)

Special Pricing:

Live Performance - $180 + travel
I'll need my name + one added to your guest list so I can bring a "security guard" for my stuff at the venue. Get the rest of the ticket to hire me for the night and I'll cut everyone a deal - 2 bands playing at one show = $125 each. 3 or more bands at one show = $100 each. Each band receives 30 images. No discounts available for this package. (travel = anything outside the 5 county Chicago area - Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry & Kane counties)

One Shot Wonder - $150 + travel
You're broke and have lived on Raman noodles for 3 years but you need that one single kick ass promotional shot that is going to get you in the door to where you need to go - I've got it covered. This is a one hour shoot on location and you receive one group shot and one individual shot per band member.  Purchase the entire edit later for $100 if you want. No discounts available for this package. (travel = anything outside the 5 county Chicago area - Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry & Kane counties)

Terms & Conditions - Jody Warner retains the copyright to all images and grants unlimited usage to the individual or individuals in the band for use in web or print applications. However, this does NOT mean that you can sell the images or prints off of your site or in any other fashion. Record labels and management company usage can be negotiated at any time.

What this means is you and your band can use these images. If you are later signed to a label, the label will need to contact me for usage terms if they want to use the images you have. Labels and management companies can take advantage of these same rates during the introductory offer of my services.

Any editorial (publication) requests for your images must be placed through me. I can meet any deadline for editorial requests you have for magazines, papers, or web sites. The reason they have to come through me is so I can work the images up to their specs, I can make sure they give me proper credit, and I can continue to build relationships with publishers. Simply call me with the contact information of the person I need to send the image to and it's done.

All images will be shot digitally and delivered digitally. If film or extensive retouching is requested, I will quote you the added expense at $125 per hour.

Payment for services is required in full the day of the shoot. Payment options are non-negotiable. Cash, check, bank check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal payments are all excepted - images are delivered when the check clears my bank.  Payments via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal include a 3% price increase that accounts for the various fees associated with doing electronic business.
